Blog Yessin: ”I am happy to be back home after a successful weekend”

Last weeks, Dutch Grand Prix rider Yessin Rahmouni stayed at the Zhaskov Riding School in Ukraine. He competed his horse Only Society and trained his Dutch pupil Aimee Weisse and Ukrainian pupils Galyna Khorostyl and Inna Lagytenkova. He looks back at the last, successful weekend.

“I am glad to be back home. On Monday morning, I came back in Holland after a really successful weekend and the last two days went well. I had a day-off on Saturday and I was busy with training my pupils.”

Saturday
“Inna and her horse Don Gregorious did a good test on Intermediaire I level but had a few small mistakes and scored 66%. Their was a great harmony between Galyna and her horse but they made a mistake in both pirouettes and unfortunately her score was only 63%. Aimee showed her horse perfectly and won the individual test with 69,97%. That night, there was a great party with dinner and several DJ’s. The atmosphere was good and everyone was dancing on the dance floor, including the judges. Unfortunately I had t go to bed early because of my freestyle test the next morning”.

Sunday
“At the first CDI my freestyle went well but my choreography was too easy, so I needed to improve the degree of difficulty. I did the right changes, scored almost 70% and was placed second. Before the freestyle, I gave Inna the advice to do a clear test and to keep the control during the freestyle. She listened really well and did a perfect freestyle and Don Gregorius listened perfectly and won this test with 73%. Galyna’s horse got scared of the music again and needs to gain more experience in doing freestyles. Their score was 64%. Aimee was still in the winning mood and also won the Juniors freestyle, scoring 72,95%.”

“I am glad to be home safe and sound and was happy that we went there all the way for two weekends, we all gained a lot of experience. The organisation was glad that we came here and the VIAN Group took a good care of us and organised everything perfectly. They want to organize more CDI’s in the future, which is great!”
